Overview
On September 10th, 2026 Carolina Forest’s NJROTC Rifle Team drove down to Summerville High School for their second meet of the year to compete in the “OLD School Battle At The Ville”. The last time Carolina Forest went to Summerville was in 2024!! This meet came a week after Georgetown and because of Labor Day the Rifle Team had a total of 2 days to practice before going on a 2 hour drive towards Summerville. We had the A - team and two individuals shoot in their “outside” range which can only be described as a heater because the a/c would be turned off since it would affect the pellets being shot causing the range to overtime get hotter as teams shot. Hot enough for paper towels to be needed to wipe the sweat off their shoulders, face, and rifle. But despite it all the A - team reigned over the other teams taking the second place position and our top shooter James Borowski was given a Bracelet signally him to being the top shooter of the team and both Noah Linures & Brenda Martinez were given a silver CMP pin for their uniform for their astounding scores. Our two individual shooters did extremely well enough to outshoot a whole team. A - team landed second place in the meet, beaten by Summerville themselves. Congratulations to our shooters for performing in such extreme heat!!!
