The Uniform
The Navy Uniform is an item worn by all Navy personnel who do a variety of jobs and are deployed in the field or abroad. Adopted in 2010, the current Naval Uniform for enlisted sailors consists of black dress shoes and socks, black dress pants, a pleated khaki top, and a Garrison cap. Additionally, Service Dress Blues, first introduced in 1918, consisted of black dress shoes, black pants, a white button-up shirt, a black necktie, a black coat with gold buttons, and a white combination cover with a gold chin strap.
Our Cadets
Though for our NJROTC Cadets, it isn’t just an outfit, the uniform is a way to show the Navy’s core value of Honor. They do this by honoring the men who currently wear the uniform and those before them. To wear the Navy Uniform is not just a way to respect the Navy and the sailors in it but all of America and its freedom, as the men and women who put on the uniform protect our freedom daily. So to all, the Navy Uniform is much more than just an outfit.
