From July 10th through July 13th cadets from Carolina Forest high school, North Myrtle Beach high school, and Conway high school meet up at Carolina Forest high school to begin their week of Basic Leadership Training. Cadets received lectures about nutrition, physical training, and mindset. The cadets also went to the Coast Guard station and got a tour of two boats and were shown how they empty water from the boats. Cadets practiced leadership skills by running platoons and commanding squads during battleship. On the last day of Basic Leadership Training, cadets spent the day at the Big Air trampoline park. At the end of the day platoon commanders recognized certain cadets and handed out awards for their outstanding performance and leadership.
