Overview
On September 21, 2024, our Drill Team cadets traveled to North Myrtle Beach High School for the North Myrtle Beach Drill Meet. This was the first Drill Meet of the season and helped prepare cadets for what to expect at competitions.
At the meet, our Drill Team competed in multiple events, including armed and unarmed squads and platoons, and Color Guard; there was also an Armed and Unarmed Exhibition, a routine where cadets will perform moves without audible command and are graded on their routine. We congratulate our Freshman Color Guard and Unarmed Platoon, who took first place, and the Armed Exhibition, which took Third place. Overall, the Drill Team took 3rd place.
Before awards, each school got to take place in Knockout. Knockout is a game where cadets from each school will form a company and compete against each other by executing the commands given. Congratulations to Cadet D. Clarke who got First place in Unarmed Knockout.
