Military Ball
For the first time in three years, Carolina Forest and many other participating schools all came together to take part in the first annual JROTC Military Ball since the start of COVID-19. The military ball consisted of a formal portion, where cadets sat at their respective school's tables, stood for the presentation of colors presented by a ten-man color guard, and then waited for this year's cadet of the year to be announced.
Cadet of the Year
The cadet of the year candidates came from schools all over the district, including our Carolina Forest Highschool NJROTC cadet Jeremy Meyer. Although J. Meyer did not win, we still are unbelievably proud of how far he has come and how much he has contributed to the unit. We congratulate the winning cadet of the year coming from St. James Highschool AJROTC and the runner-ups!
Overview
After the formal portion of the ball concluded cadets were released from their tables to get food and talk with other cadets or instructors. Later in the night, the cadets were released downstairs to dance, chat with friends and new people, and more. The military ball was a great event that many cadets enjoyed. We cannot wait until next year's annual military ball!
