Overview
This weekend, our Academic Team went to Cary High School to compete in the Area 6 Brain Brawl. At this event, instructors challenge cadets with Jeopardy-style questions where they buzz in the quickest to answer questions. If answered correctly, the group gets ten points. If answered incorrectly, the team loses five points, and others get the chance to answer said question. Two rounds made up the competition: a toss-up and a lightning round. Unlike the lightning rounds, cadets can answer bonus questions to earn additional points when they answer questions correctly during the toss-up rounds. With these points, of the 23 teams that competed, the Carolina Forest NJROTC Academic Team took 5th overall!
